ARTIST OF THE MONTH, SEPTEMBER 2019

Mujahid Ameen Lilo was born in 2003 within the ancient walls of Kano State, Nigeria. He is in SS3 of Sunshine Int’l College. He is a poet, essayist and a short stories writer. He is the winner of the Wole Soyinka International Cultural Exchange Essay Competition, 2019 from the north west zone. He has served as the Arts Editor of the Daily Chronicle.
Has read to Nobel Laureate Professor Wole Soyinka on his 85th birthday at his residence, Ijegba forest Abeokuta.
His works had been published in Praxis Magazine, Tuck, Triumph, Insightful Observer, Daily Focus, Daily Chronicle, Daily Trust and others.
His poem ‘I Remember a Borno’ came third in BUK Creative Writers’ Contest while ‘Borno’ was the overall winner of the month of May.
His short stories collection ‘CITY OF SMOKE’ and poetry collection ‘Lost Homes’ are coming out this year
