YELF LITERARY EVENING, AUGUST 2019
The YELF Literary evening for the month of august 2019 kicked off with an amazing open mic session. The attendees of the event we were not the only participant of the Open Mic, participants of the Professor Andrew Nok Poetry Prize took to stage and shared some breath-taking poetries with attendees of the event.
The event also witnessed entertainment spanning from music to drama; which took us back to our roots.
The evening had the amazing poet Daisy Odey as her Guest artist, who was also one of the facilitators of the Professor Andrew Nok Poetry Prize. Moderator of the Book Chat with Miss Daisy Odey was another poet, Mr Shittu Fowora.
Our guest touched on the idea that brought about her book of poems and the inspirations that birth said book.
On display during the course of the event were books from Karatu Books. These books were up for sale at available prices.
